In short: what this website does not do
The website does not use cookies, has no analytics or advertising tools and does not load third-party fonts. We do not track where you come from or what you view.
What data we process and why
- Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), the trip you ask about and your message. We use them to reply to your enquiry. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, and taking steps at your request before a contract.
- Contact by email, phone or WhatsApp: we receive what you send us (for example your phone number and message). You also use the services of those messaging providers, who process data under their own terms.
- Bookings: data needed to make and perform the contract (for example name, contact details, travel details, payments). We take bookings outside the website, by phone or messages. Legal basis: performing the contract and legal obligations (for example accounting).
- Photos and videos from trips: these may be published on our channels, as set out in the booking terms (clause 18).
Technical data and hosting
The website is served by Cloudflare. Like any host, it processes the technical data needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address and browser details, in server logs. Cloudflare may process data outside the UK, relying on the safeguards provided by data transfer rules.
YouTube video
YouTube videos load only after you click the play button and use the privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Nothing is fetched from YouTube until you click. After you click, YouTube (Google) may process data under its own privacy policy.
Browser storage
We remember your language choice and whether you dismissed the English-version suggestion in your browser’s local storage (localStorage). This stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can delete it in your browser settings.
Links to other sites
The website links to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, WhatsApp and our partners’ sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
How long we keep data
- Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: up to 12 months after our last contact.
- Booking and accounting records: as long as the law requires (usually 6 years).
Who we share data with
Only those who help us handle your enquiry or trip: hosting and email providers, travel service providers (for example hotels, carriers, instructors) as far as necessary, and accounting advisers. We do not sell data.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict its processing, receive it in a portable form and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Write to us and we will reply within a month.
You can also complain to the UK supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): ico.org.uk, tel. 0303 123 1113.
Children
The website is not aimed at people under 18. We organise trips for children only with their legal guardians.
Changes
We may change this policy, for example when we add new features. The current version is always here, with the date of the last update.
ICO registration number stated in our booking conditions: ZB620485.
